Their official team recently updated the Cyberpunk 2077 System Requirements. Now, they recommend the ultra system and even Ray Tracing for Cyberpunk 2077 System. A lot of hardware will be needed, at least on the graphics card front, in these higher settings and resolutions. We know that Cyberpunk 2077 will help ray and DLSS 2.x for some time now.

It is not shocking, then, that you need one of the better graphics cards, anything from the top of our GPU specifications – and that means you at least would like to get the RTX GeForce GPU if you want the full fidelity experience. Cyberpunk also includes DirectX 12, while Windows 7 supports DX12. Any recent GPUs should be enough if they have the money and some luck. Minimum PC: 1080p Low CyberPunk 2077

The above slide details all the suggested specs were given in the CD Project Red and Nvidia. Interestingly, the list scrubbed any mention of AMD graphics cards. However, the left two columns of the list have not radically changed since Nvidia has added five more columns, as stated in episode 3 of Night City Wire. Let’s begin first with the minimum specs:

This then is your clunker Cyberdeck norm, which isn’t enough for you to start as a new runner. The software has a 2012 CPU, a 2013 or 2016 GPU, a low-memory version, and a 64-bit Windows version. DirectX 12 (Dex12), backporting to Windows 7. What kind of encounter would you experience in this deck? It says 1080p low, but it does not tell if 60 fps or 30 fps is needed. It’s closer to 30 than 60 if we had to risk guessing.

The technology is already very tame for 1080p. GPUs are a little quicker—1060 Nvidia’s 6GB is about 30% faster than GTX 780, according to our GPU benchmark, and the R9 Fury X of AMD is about 30% faster than the RX 570 4GB, so the R9 Fury vanilla is maybe 35% faster than the minimum RX 470. Notice that the GTX 1060 6GB also is roughly 25 percent quicker than the R9 Fury X.

For newer GPU, both the GTX 1650 Super and RX 5500 XT have comparable performance, but only 4GB VRAM have the 1650 cards. The 1660 Super is more than 40% faster than 1060 6GB. This has a massive split in output. Things look a little strange on the CPU side. The Core i7-4790 is similar to the i7-4770K and should be much quicker than the Ryzen 3 3200G. We don’t know whether it is 30 fps or 60 fps, whereas the PC hardware suggested aims at 1080p maximum. 1060 is likely to land at an average of 35-45 fps, while the GTX 1660 Super is predicted to be close to 60. Again, for a gaming PC, that is a pretty low bar.

The only major improvement in the GPU department is up to 1440p ultra recommendations. The CD Project Red or Nvidia indicates an RTX 2060, which is not yet feasible for ray tracing. It is not clear if this is DLSS-friendly or not, but we think that RX 5600 XT should be very similar to RTX 2060 without DLSS.

The 4K ultra manages to drive the GPU ladder up and even recommends 16GB of RAM and VRAM 8GB. Here are the suggested versions of RTX 2080 Super and RTX 3071, but with DLSS? We do not know. An AMD RX 6800 also should be very fine, we imagine, but next month I’ll need to check it out to see what they’re doing.

The specifications on the GPU front are inevitably set by turning ray tracks a bit up. We have now hit 1080p for the medium tracking location with 1080p (most likely now with DLSS enabled). The CPU is still a little weird. The VRAM is back up to 6GB (because it’s 2060), so it’s essentially 1440p Ultra-non-RT specs, otherwise. The AMD RX 6800 most likely would compete in this price, but then it would be $580 to a $300-$350 card.

The GPU ladder continues to march up with the 1440p ultra-ray tracking. Once again, we possibly see hardware that couldn’t equal AMD in RT output with DLSS allowed. As we saw in the RX 6800 XT analysis, Nvidia typically has superior radiation tracing efficiency plus tensor cores that cannot equal AMD’s. The result is a very high DLSS resolution with a 1440-p rendering and upscaling quality. If you like 1440p for ray tracks, your best wager would be 3070 or 2080 Ti, and perhaps you have to close the RX 6800 XT.

Finally, the CPU even gets a bump to the i7-6700 or Ryzen 5 3600. The latter is quite meaningful. Will the original 4-core/8-thread Skylake i7-6700 remain up? We doubt that unless, at this point, everything is just GPU restricted (which it probably is). However, if you want to run at maxed-out settings, we recommend that you reach for the i7-8700 or above on the Intel side.

Finally, only RTX 3080 or the RTX 3090 would be enough for 4K ultra with deep pockets allowed, and you can find one. The CPU guidelines are similar to 1440p RT Ultra, and VRAM is 10GB bumped (as 3080 does). Does this provide 60 fps with DLSS, DLSS, or DLSS performance? We’re want to hear that.

Although we do not know how challenging Cyberpunk 2077 would be, it should be enough that the quickest current GPU (which costs not more than $ 1,000) is available. If the 2070 Super or equivalent GPUs you already have, 1080p or 1440p should be fine with ray tracing.

It is roughly half the overall cost, but the performance is also about half that. This is also half the disk space and half the memory – you can add a secondary drive or only update it to a 1 TB SSD for 35 bucks. For example. The RTX 3060 Ti or the RTX 3060 are officially not announced by Nvidia, but the next month or two are expected to arrive. It is a more matter if they are currently available in enough numbers. But, if you wish to buy a new GPU, we won’t pay these days for an RTX 20 series.

Final Remarks on Cyberpunk 2077 System Requirements

Cyberpunk 2077 is the biggest obstacle to operating every PC being the graphics card. If you’re prepared to get a minimum standard and a smaller resolution or if you’re all right in 30 fps. It would fit well on whatever hardware your new gaming PC has. You have a GTX 970 or R9390 or better GPU as long as you are. You might also go into older/lower hardware and still play, but there is no guarantee—and no fancy impact on graphics.

However, if you want to make the most of cyberpunk 2077 and evaluate what we’ve seen and the graphics features that have been promised, we suggest that you run at least a 6-core Processor to reach a steady 60 fps or more in the night city crowds, and that may not be enough. But we won’t recommend you run and purchase a new PC or update your current PC before beginning the game. You should be okay to try rays, at least if you already run an Nvidia RTX graphics card. If you have an AMD, it might not even be that awesome for ray tracing effects (or worth the hit to performance).
