Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the most popular Indian television series by Neela Telefilms. It was first aired on 28th July, 2008 on SAB TV. The TV series is based on the popular Gujarati column ‘Duniya Ne Oondha Chashmah’, written by Taarak Mehta. The column is being published in the Gujarati weekly magazine ‘Chitralekha’.

Shooting Locations

Gokuldham Society, the official residence of all the family members of this TV serial is located in the city of Mumbai. It is a set, created by the production house. However, some parts of the TV serial have also been shot in various places such as Hong Kong, New Delhi, Paris, Gujarat, London and Brussels.
