Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will soon add a new title as the Chief Impact Officer. Harry set foot in the US employee coaching and San Francisco-based mental health firm BetterUp Inc.
Prince Harry said that he was very hopeful about stepping into the new corporate role. The public now know his financial terms and job responsibilities.
After stepping back from royal duties in March in the last year, this is Harry’s first job-related move. At the beginning of March 2021, Harry and Meghan gave an exclusive interview to Oprah Winfrey. In this interview, they accused a member of the royal family who asked about their son’s skin color before birth.
A new job role for Prince Harry
Prince Harry said in a statement that his aim in these new job responsibilities would be to uplift severe dialogues about mental fitness, form helpful and empathetic communities and stimulate environs for truthful and critical conservations.
BetterUp chief executive officer Robichaux said to Wall Street Journal Duke of Sussex will now be the manager of employees or the reporting in charge directly. Still, Prince might visit BetterUp San Francisco headquarters later on.
In accordance with WSJ being appointed as chief impact officer, Harry wants inputs into various sectors like charitable contributions, product strategy decisions, and publicizing awareness for mental health.
Mr. Robichaux cited Duke of Sussex said Mr. Harry fits best for the company because he has the passion to help others through action. He also understands potential in other people.
In the corporate territory, the position of chief impact officer is comparatively infrequent – WSJ reported – it can be found more frequently in charitable organizations, namely Amnesty International.
BetterUp, established in 2013, offers professional coaching through phone calls, mentorship, counseling. This mental health firm has 2000 professional coaches. This firm serves 66 countries in 49 languages.
Before Harry launched enterprises such as Invictus games for military people to utilize sport for physical and psychological reformation. He also promotes mental health awareness.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan reside in California and have been working independently after ending all the duties on behalf of the queen. They are in contract to create podcasts for Spotify and create content for Netflix.
