Are you excited about Windows 11 yet? You might be among those who want to know how to install Windows 11 as soon as they can, especially after the promising presentation held by Microsoft at the end of June.
We can see why many users are so excited – Windows 11 seems to be an OS specifically made for gamers and content creators, with many optimizations to I/O streams (Direct Storage) and gaming features (built-in Xbox Game Pass environment). Furthermore, the new UI and security features (granted by TPM 2.0) promise a new, revamped user experience.
Of course, we’re in an early stage and the first builds coming around aren’t exactly bug-free, as usual, but you must remember that the official release date was announced by Microsoft: October 5th, 2021
However, if you really can’t wait to know about how to install Windows 11 and be among the first who try it, if you don’t fear the possible frustrations of missing features, glitches, and bugs, then you might be able to get an early build of Windows 11 and see what’s good with your own eyes.
A word of caution: we strongly recommend not to go for the leaked builds circulating from the days before Microsoft’s official presentation of June 24th. These are very, very early builds that may cause more than hiccups to your machine.
What about Windows 11
At the time we’re writing this article, Windows 11 is not yet available, but we can confirm the upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 will be free. The official release date is October 5th, 2021, as confirmed by Microsoft. Therefore, you’ll have to own a 100% legit and genuine Windows 10 license to upgrade to the new Windows 11 OS.

You can install Windows 11, here’s how
If you want to be an early adopter of Windows 11, and you don’t want to wait for the official free upgrade from Windows 10 scheduled for early 2022, you can join the Windows Insider Program and access the early builds for Windows 11. You’ll be part of the WIP community, and give your feedback about your experience with the new OS, helping Microsoft to improve and fix Windows 11 ahead of its official release window.
Once again, you need to consider all the implications of using an early version of a new OS: bugs, compatibility issues, missing features, possible system-breaking errors.
If you cannot afford to use an unstable OS, maybe you may want to wait for a more stable version of Windows 11. In this case, go to Microsoft’s official Windows 11 Upgrade page, and scroll down to download the PC Health Check app to check if your PC meets all the requirements to run Windows 11.
