Do Any Countries Have All Seasons of Family Guy on Netflix?

Family Guy on Netflix

If you’re here, you probably already know that you can get around outdated regional restrictions with a VPN. Using such an app would allow you to actually watch Family Guy on Netflix, even if it’s not available in your area. However, you’re still left with one conundrum: does any Netflix library have all seasons of Family Guy?

Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. That doesn’t mean you can’t take full advantage of your Netflix sub and watch the ones that are currently available. Find out which Netflix libraries have seasons of Family Guy easily by clicking the link.

StreamCatcher will let you know exactly which country currently holds the most seasons, not just for Family Guy but any other show available on the platform. You’ll also be able to see where you can watch classics like Taken, or the recently added Studio Ghibli films.

All of these titles have really odd regional restrictions (e.g. Taken being exclusive to the Netherlands). StreamCatcher will save you the headaches of server-hopping with your VPN, or sifting through dozens of outdated articles about where you can stream a show. That’s why we recommend bookmarking the tool; makes picking your next weekend binge a breeze.

Back to our main topic, though.

Which Country Has the Most Family Guy Seasons?

Shows come and go from Netflix like the seasons, and Family Guy is no different. At one point, the show completely disappeared from the platform, along with other fan favorites such as Futurama and American Dad. Why? Well, Fox simply hadn’t renewed their contract with Netflix, supposedly after the latter “poached” two Fox executives.

In any case, the Griffins resurfaced on Netflix after Disney acquired 21st Century Fox back in 2019. At the time of writing, Seasons 9 through 18 of Family Guy are available for streaming on Netflix Canada. For some reason, seasons 9 to 11 are missing in other countries, such as France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Israel.

Where Can I Watch the First 8 Seasons of Family Guy?

What about seasons 1 through 8? Well, those are seemingly stuck in licensing limbo. Or perhaps Disney simply doesn’t want them on Netflix, so they can attract fans of the show to Hulu (which they also own). And yes, if you were wondering where to watch the first 8 seasons, Hulu is your best bet.

You still need a VPN to watch Family Guy on Hulu outside the US, by the way. Fortunately, StreamCatcher’s Netflix VPN recommendations typically work on the platform as well. There’s just the problem of Hulu not accepting foreign payment methods – easily solved by using Hulu gift cards instead. Or better yet, try to sign up for a virtual debit card to use on US-exclusive services in the future. (worldanimalfoundation.org)

Otherwise, you’re stuck buying them separately on iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, and similar services. Do keep in mind that you won’t actually “own” the seasons if you do so. As with all digital media, you’re just buying a temporary license. Amazon’s terms of purchase even make it clear that anything you buy on their platform “may become unavailable due to licensing restrictions or for other limited reasons.”
