Dancing With The Stars has been on the air for 29 seasons, but this is the first time that they will have a black female pro dancer. Yes, it is none other than Britt Stewart. She has been on troupe from the 22nd season, and she just got promoted. Stewart will now be paired with a celebrity dancer for competing for the Mirrorball Trophy.
Britt Stewart recently came on Good Morning America and shared about the responsibility given to her. She said that she doesn’t take her position (as the first black female pro) lightly. The pro went onto say that she feels honored and that she feels emotional whenever she talks about it. Stewart said that there is a lot of power in representing her community in a specific position. She also said that her achievement gives young black girls that they don’t have to look a certain way to reach heights. The dancer said she is honored that the show celebrates diversity and that it is a stepping stone.
Britt Stewart will be new at the main stage of Dancing With The Stars, but she has had quite an impressive resume. Along with being one of the troupe members, she was a part of the High School Musical movies and has shared the stage with Katy Perry, Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Florence + The Machine, Janet Jackson, and more.

Stewart is not the only new addition to this DWTS season. Daniella Karagach, the spouse of fellow pro Pasha Pashkov is one of the first-time pro. Moreover, Tyra Banks is joining the show as the first solo host. Furthermore, she is also one of the executive producers.
Pro Sasha Farber spoke in an interview and spilled the beans on the tea party held on Zoom. It included all the pros and also had Tyra Banks in it, sharing great ideas. Tyra Banks has reportedly said that there is a lot to look up to in the new, and it will be “next level.”
One thing that everyone still has to be deal with is that there is an ongoing pandemic. This means many of the pros have to quarantine separately, even if they’re married!
As of what we know now, Kaitlyn Bristowe is the only celebrity who will surely be a part of DWTS season 29. You have to hold onto your horses to know who else will be joining her this season. The premiere will reveal which pro dancer is paired with which celebrity! Keep your eyes on ABC from Monday, September 14.
